When Are taxes due?

If you are a Multi-Member LLC or an S Corporation, your taxes are due on March 15th of every year. If you are a Single-Member LLC or an Individual, your taxes are due on April 15th of every year. It's an annual standard if there are no exceptions.

The IRS and states will allow for you to request an extension of time to file your tax returns. This will give you a 6-month extension of time. The extension deadlines are September 15th and October 15th. BUT, this is not an extension of time to pay. So, when we file your extension, you will still need to pay your full tax due or you will face late payment penalties.

Do I have to file a tax return even if I didn't make any money?

It's not strictly necessary to file your tax return if you have income under $800 for a year. But I always advise to file a tax return every single year. If you do not, you could lose out on a refund or a tax credit. Or, the IRS could send you late filing notices. It will create a much bigger headache than it is worth.

Do You file business and individual taxes together?

If you are a Single Member LLC or Sole Proprietorship, you will file your individual taxes alongside your business ones. However, if you are an S Corp or Multimember LLC, you will need to file them separately.
